We just got some unsettling news today. My Uncle from Georgia who has serious heart issues is in critical condition in ICU. He has double pneumonia and has been put on a respirator. Just yesterday he was doing pretty well. He was having difficulty breathing but a C-Pap machine was helping him by getting the oxygen into his lungs.

Today it’s much worse. My family is very close although we don’t all live near by. We have recently been through the death of another Uncle in September. My Mom is one of 6 siblings. They are all up in age. My mind has to wrap around the understanding that these type of things are going to happen now.

Loving your family is pretty much a given. (I know there are family problems with people estranged and we have that too to some extent.) But having a family that you can call on any time for anything is different. It’s not that common I’ve come to learn. Many times there are strings attached. Not with us.

Please pray for my Uncle. He’s a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin, friend and just an all around nice guy. They do exist and he’s one of them.
