And So This Was Christmas

Today was an awesome day. The family was here. Santa got Peanut a couple of the things she asked for and she was thrilled. Lady Ali got a new sewing machine as she wants to learn sewing, plus a lot of kitchen items. Hubby and I were happy watching everyone be happy with their gifts.

Right after Peanut opened her presents she couldn’t wait for us to open ours. This year she really worked at the presents she bought with her own money. Then she ran to the manger to see that Santa had removed the covering over Baby Jesus. So the most important day of the was realized without us having to point it out. Ah be still my heart!

We had so much food leftover from yesterday so we reheated some of that. Mom made a ham and scalloped potatoes also. Hubby made tiny franks and beans in the crockpot too. So we pretty much grazed most of the day.

We did sit down to dinner of the ham and potatoes with some veggies and then dessert, oh yummy! Lady Ali baked cookies and we had tons of chocolate and pastries too.

Peanut was getting exhausted early like last night but so we had her take a bath early. We let her play some more of her Wii games but then off to bed when Lady Ali and Boyfriend left. It was a long day for all of us.

I hope that you had a good Christmas and enjoyed your day.

I had ham too, with mashed potatoes, mmmmmmmmmmmmm…..

As much as I like Christmas though (when I’m in the Christmas mood that is) I’m glad it’s over. On to the new year!
