Getting Ready For Disney

It’s been too long. I need my Disney fix so we’ll be going to WDW on Sunday and staying until New Year’s Day. I’m finally starting to get excited about it. I’m still not feeling well but I’ll do my best while I’m there.

We’re staying at Shades of Green instead of using our DVC points because it’s a high point time and because we wanted to stay where we can see the New Year’s Eve Fireworks from our hotel. Last year we went to the Magic Kingdom and it was packed. I’m not too good in serious crowds with my scooter so we went back to the hotel.

I hope this year won’t be a repeat of last year: Peanut didn’t take a nap that day like we told her so she was zonked out by midnight. Hubby ended up falling asleep around 11:30 PM. So I watched the Walt Disney World New Year’s Eve fireworks on TV. Pretty sad, huh?

With not being able to take my Humira shot my hands are hurting really bad. I’m concerned about using my scooter to get around. But I can always switch hands or have Peanut in my lap and let her hold the handle while I steer. That’s a bit scary so I use that as a last resort.

I’m packing tomorrow so we can get an early start on Sunday morning, maybe….

Sounds like you’ll have a magical New Year’s Eve if everyone can manage to stay awake for the fireworks. Best of luck with the crowds, I don’t like them myself and I don’t even have to worry about maneuverability like you do.

Best wishes for a blessed 2008!
