New Direction

As I wrote on my other newer blog My Chronic Life, I’m changing direction and focus of my blogs. I’m expecting (I feel like an expectant Mom, but sorry the shop is closed) to begin a new blog soon so with that news I had to consider the focus of my blogs.

I’ve been writing on Brain Foggles since April of 2007. It began as a health blog committed to education about chronic illnesses and their effects on people’s lives and advocacy for people with all types of disABILITIES.

What’s happened though is this has become more of a personal diary of my life. At first I wrote about things as if I were preaching to an audience. Soon as my comfort level grew I began to open up more about my family, my church, my feelings, etc. My writing style showed more of who I really am as a mother, wife, Christian, person who has health problems, a daughter, someone who is willing to share.

What I’ve decided then is to go with the natural flow of this blog and make it more family and diary oriented. I hope to write about my everyday life with all of it’s ups and downs, the funny, the embarrassing, the reality.

Having My Chronic Life offers me the opportunity to continue what I started here. That will become my health and advocacy blog. I look forward to continue writing and learning more about myself and my readers along the way.

I always welcome comments and now I’d appreciate any suggestions, critiques, etc. Please be kind though. I have tough skin but at the moment things seem a bit jumbled. I never knew blogging could be this emotional and draining. These decisions came about with much thought.

Yeah. Blogging is quite the experience. If you get successful enough, it can be life changing. I think changing it from a health blog to a personal one was a wise move. More interesting.

Go for it Connie. It is more emotionally investing to write about personal things on a blog..I agree it’s more interesting also.
