A Day And A Half

time - clocks of all kinds

I feel like this has been one of the longest days ever. OK I am exaggerating a lot. But you get the picture. I woke Peanut up for school this morning and she couldn’t wake up no matter what I tried or did. I mean this kid was exhausted. She’d kind of wake up and when I looked at her I saw dark circles under her eyes.

Yesterday at church half of the children were sick so I thought maybe she was coming down with something. I called Hubby and we decided to have her sleep and see how she was later in the day. When she woke up and ate breakfast she was yawning. She asked if she could go back to bed. Huh? So I had her go to bed and she slept again. About 45 minutes later she woke up. By then I decided it was too late for her to go to school. She still had dark circles under her eyes.

She pretty much lounged around today. I did have her do her homework (Mean Mom) but she was like a sloth so I think I made the right decision. She’s going to bed early tonight.

I ended up taking care of her - I’m hungry Mom, I’m tired, My head hurts, I want a snack, etc…etc….which normally would be fine but I planned on getting my new crown put on after my root canal - didn’t happen. Then I had some things I needed to mail which would take packing because they are some small gifts - got it done with lots of interruptions. I also had to make phone calls to my support group members - still hasn’t happened. Now I’m feeling so exhausted that I just want to take a nap. But I’ll keep forging ahead!

Peanut is going to bed by 8 PM tonight. I may be following her very soon.

Remember to take care of yourself! Overdoing it for several days in a row does catch up with you on not getting your rest.
