Dinner Out

Tomorrow is my birthday. It’s the big 45. For some reason the number 45 is stressing me out a bit. It’s putting that number and me together in a sentence - I’m 45 now. Yikes! I had a really bad 40th birthday. Besides reaching that milestone of no longer being in my 30’s it was just a few days later that I got the diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis.

Talk about a downer. I can look back on it now and laugh, knowing what I know now. But it was pretty devastating then. I remember driving to go pick up some take in from a franchise restaurant because I felt too tired to eat at the place. My Mom was in the car with me. I said that I felt like I had to hold up my right eyelid. It felt weird and I was so tired all the time.

We joked about how turning 40 was hitting me big time. It sure did, but in more ways than I knew then. This year though I can celebrate. I’m at peace with the health issues I have. I know I have good and bad days but I have so much more appreciation for life and the things I used to overlook before the diagnosis.

I hope to have dinner out this year, not tomorrow night as Peanut has to get to bed early for the FCAT tests, but coming up soon. And I plan on having a great time and enjoying each minute.

Happy early bday sweetie! I’m sure you’ll hear from me again before tomorrow ends.

Have hubby take you out to someone absolutely fantastic! Do I see Rainforest Cafe in your future? ;-)

Thanks all for the birthday wishes! I had a fabulous day with my family. My older dd is coming home the end of this week and we’ll probably go out to dinner. Hubby owes me an Anniversary and B-day dinner. So we’ll be going out alone too!

45 isn’t bad at all. I thought it would be worse but it’s OK. I feel good in my skin LOL.
