Orlando Hotel
The Orlando area is one of the top spots for families to vacation. It has attractions like Walt Disney World, SeaWorld and Universal Studios. There’s more adult oriented attractions like Pleasure Island and City Walk too. There are smaller known places to visit like Wet n’ Wild, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Odditorium, the Peabody’s Ducks and lots more.
Many organizations and businesses use Orlando to hold their conferences and meetings. The 2008 American Urological Association Annual Meeting will take place in Orlando. It will be held at Orlando Vista Hotel. This hotel is close to the Convention Center and has amenities for both attendees and their families.
They provide various types of rooms such as King Suites, Kid’s Club Suites besides their standard rooms. All rooms include daily housekeeping, free daily newspaper, laptop rental or in room computers. The King Suites have separate areas for sleeping, working and eating. They include a microwave and refrigerator and a large bathroom, some with jacuzzi tubs. The Kid’s Club rooms have a small bedroom within the larger room. There’s a bunk bed and twin bed so that three children under 10 can sleep comfortably.
The Orlando Vista is one of the Lake Buena Vista hotels. Lake Buena Vista is actually the area outside of Orlando where the attractions are located. The name “Orlando” is used because people relate that to Disney World, Universal, SeaWorld, etc.
If you’re like me, you like to enjoy some good food while you’re on vacation. On site the Orlando Vista has a French Bakery Cafe which is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. It provides room service and late night munchies too. Close by are some of the well known restaurants that make vacationing fun, like Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Romano’s Macaroni and Grill and so many more.
The Vista is one of the hotels near Disney World that provides a free shuttle to the Walt Disney World Parks, free parking, a heated pool, etc. Staying at the Orlando Vista while taking part in a convention or a last minute trip is a smart choice. You can find something for adults, children and working professionals.

I’ve only been to Orlando once in the past few years and that was to attend the National Academies of Emergency Dispatch Annual Navigator Conference. We stayed at the Hilton Hotel in Orlando and I have to say that it was very, very nice. Some of the comfiest beds I have slept on - evah!
I’d like to get back down that way one of these days but the problem is, I don’t like crowds and that whole area screams CROWDS constantly!
