My Daughter is Engaged!

We had a lot to celebrate this past week on our vacation. We arrived on Sunday to rain so we unpacked, drove around and hung out at the hotel for a while before hitting the hay. I got a phone call that day from Lady Ali checking in on our dinner plans for Monday. This was quite unusual as she isn’t usually that excited to see us LOL.
On Tuesday she called us a few times to keep in touch with us again and be sure that we would meet up again. I was getting a little weirded out by this but I was happy to see her. On Monday we met up at ESPN Club. We had a long wait for a table so we Hubby, I and Peanut were waiting on the Boardwalk. She called again as they arrived so we kept a lookout for them. We caught sight of them walking together.
Soon they were with us, hugging and kissing and saying hello. Next Lady Ali said that she had a surprise for us. She stuck out her left hand and there was her engagement ring! All I could do was hug her, say, “Congratulations” and cry. How silly can a Mom be?
At dinner we talked about their plans. They’re going to wait about a year to get married. They’ll have the ceremony here in Florida, yeah! And they are both going to continue with their plans for school. Double yeah!
I started thinking of how my beautiful, smart daughter is not only moving to Kansas to go to Graduate School, but how she’ll be a married woman soon. Oh my goodness! I don’t know if I can handle all of this. But I trust her and know that it’s her time to leave the nest.
Now I really need to work on looking slim as I’ll be the Mother of The Bride soon. I’ve done some more research on eating well and losing weight. I found a link to lipovox as a natural diet pill.
