In our attempt to continue to remodel our home, we’re going through each room to see what older things may need some TLC before we move onto the newer parts of the house. It’s been a mishmash of starting something, not finishing, moving to another room. So we’re trying to get a handle of things.

Hubby began in our master bathroom. We know we have to work on our closets which are next to that room, so he figured he’d go there first. What he found scared us. Our shower has been getting moldy for a while, but it’s easily removed with some spray cleaner. Hubby found that the two walls against the shower stall are full of mold. He went to check the paint and his finger went through a section of the wall.

We know we need to replace the shower stall, the walls and the sinks and cabinets that are connected to the wall. (We have those old double sinks/cabinet deals.) Just what we need and now!

I wish we were able to buy something from this selection of Bathroom Suites but we’re in the US. BetterBathrooms.com sells to the UK, and they have shower enclosures, the sinks and cabinets we need, or as they’re called “basin units”, shower heads and even towel rails. Switching to an all glass shower enclosure like on their site might be the best way to handle the mold problem. No more walls! Plus they’re beautiful and modern looking.

This mold problem has to be taken care of ASAP. Wonder if I can convince a UK company to deliver to the US and not charge extra shipping and handling?
