Going Green With Pacific Shaving Company

Pacific Shaving Company produces shaving oil that is in a very small bottle compared to regular shaving cream containers. With every purchase made the company plants a tree. So far sales of this oil have reduced about 20,000 cans of shaving cream mean for landfills. Although the bottle is small, only 1/2 oz, you only use a few drops with each shave so it lasts for a long time.

Pacific All Natural Shaving OilI have very sensitive and dry skin due to a chronic illness called Sjogren’s Syndrome, so when Family Review Networks asked me to try this product I had to check on the ingredients. I was very pleased to learn that everything is natural and would actually help to moisture my skin. Their manufacturing process and quality control is watched carefully to assure everything is safe.

When I used the All Natural Shaving Oil to shave my legs I was amazed at how little I needed and how easy it was to glide the razor across my skin. I only used 5 drops with water for each leg and that’s all I needed. After shaving my normally dry skin felt soft which is very unusual. I normally have flaky skin and have to use moisturizers daily. Not after using this shaving oil.

There is just a hint of a citrus scent but it is gone shortly which is good because my daughter is allergic to perfumes. I like that it doesn’t clog pores and that I can see where I’m shaving because there’s no foam. This is an all around great product that I highly recommend. I don’t put off shaving my legs like I normally do, but don’t tell anyone that, OK?

I also received the Nick Stick, but haven’t needed to use it yet! I doubt I will.

Home Decor Online

Remodeling our home is very stressful. It has caused many arguments between me and my Hubby, which is quite rare. I want things done quickly and he has his own way of doing things. With his work schedule being so heavy, we are not able to be together often. One of the biggest things that aggravates me is when he takes it upon himself to shop for something important we need without me seeing it first. One time he bought paint and even painted the bathroom when I was out for the day. I about had a fit!

decorative hardwareAfter that fiasco he learned not to do anything that drastic ever again. When I showed him that we can buy home decor items online from InvitingHome.com it was a big relief for us both. Knowing that we can look at the products we need such as decorative hardware and lighting fixtures as well as learn the best way to use these items to accentuate the best parts our home.

The products are all from leading manufacturers without a middleman involved so the prices are quite the bargain. The descriptions of every item is extremely detailed and you can call Customer Service for more information if necessary. Another service that is offered is consultations with either an Architectural Specialist or an Interior Designer by phone or email. We can email a photo of our current project and request some help.

Right now we’re working on a newly made wall that separates the master bedroom from our new den. We need to get some ideas on what type of Crown Molding to use. Since Hubby and I can’t agree on what looks better, this type of consultation can really help us.

After looking through their Inspiration Gallery, I have some new ideas of what to do with the three rooms we’re working on, especially the den. And if we become members of InvitingHome.com we not only get updates on new products, a newsletter on decorating ideas but a welcome discount coupon and discount offers on future purchases.

Sucking It Up

I got a wake up call today. A good friend of mine made a difficult choice to tell me something that I needed to hear - “suck it up, get over this stupid Wii contest and the Twitter thing and get on with my life.” She told me that I wasn’t acting like myself. That’s a true friend, one who can give you criticism that you need to hear, even though it is a hard thing for her to do.

Today has been such a great day now that my focus is on much more important things. I have been smiling more, been able handle the little things that would get me annoyed in a flash and just feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Danna, The Power Selling Mom, has been a friend who is always there for me. She has helped me in so many ways, when I was selling on eBay, started my free eBay advertising website and whenever I have questions. We talk on the phone and keep in touch on Twitter, Facebook and emails. She inspires me.

Thank you Danna for teaching me a much needed lesson! I am on the road to bigger and better things. I’ll continue to promote DOUA and help raise funds for them but I won’t get caught up in drama. It’s not me.

Refresh’n Dryer Towel Saves Time and Money

Although there are only 3 people in my house if you took a look at my hamper you’d think we had John and Kate Plus 8 living here. The laundry seems to multiply on it’s own.

Often we wear clothing for a short time, like to church or out to dinner and it’s really not dirty, just a bit wrinkled and maybe it picked up some odors from where we were. Not knowing what else to do, into the hamper it goes. These additions to our laundry makes this chore take longer, wastes money on electricity and water bills and wastes water too.

Refresh'n Dryer Towel When I was given the chance to review Refresh’n Dry Towel I thought it was just for clothes that require dry cleaning. We have very few of those. But Family Review Network provided information on all of the uses of this product. I was pleased to learn that it was for that but also for previously worn clothing that isn’t dirty.

All I had to do was put the towel into my dryer with up to three items of clothing, wet the Refresh’n Dryer Towel, wring out the extra water and lay the towel over the clothes. I turned the dryer on being sure it was set to high for 10-15 minutes. I set the buzzer so I would remember to get the clothes out quickly. All I had to do when the dryer was done, was smooth out the clothes and put them away! My dress, Peanut’s dress and Hubby’s good shirt looked and smelled just perfect.

How does it work? First, there’s no chemicals or fabric treatments used, instead the pattern of the towel plus the steam of the dryer *”removes bacteria, dirt, odor and wrinkles from clothing.” The fiber *”trap(s) surface dirt and odor while reviving your clothing’s fabric.”

Buy: One towel costs $9.95 and can be used for up to three garments at a time. Good for 25 uses.

Here’s my favorite quote from the site: “THE REFRESH’N DRYER TOWEL WILL SAVE YOU: -$365.00 on dry cleaning costs -Apx. 700 gallons of water and 90 kwh of electricity on wash and wear clothing!”

Saving time and money and going green by using Refresh’n Dryer Towel makes perfect sense to me.
